More Example Quests
I wanted to keep this module under the "two-page spread" suggestion for the Short rule, which led to a tough choice on what single example quest I could fit. Personal Quest: An Exalt's Calling
A god or gods have blessed you with miraculous powers. Why? Once per scene, you may earn a minor experience token by doing one of the following:
- Wondering aloud what the gods want from you
- Invoking a divine miracle for the first time, or experimenting with using it in a new way
- Praying for guidance, meditating, or keeping vigil
- Conversing with another hero about their adventures and plans
Complete this quest, earning a major experience token, when you:
- Declare allegiance to a family or organization, earning and accepting their emblem
- Swear before witnesses that you will walk the path of the mendicant-divine, beholden to no one but yourself and your faith
Group Quest: Into the Dungeon
You're venturing into the depths of a dangerous and forgotten place in search of treasure. Maybe it's magical; maybe it really is just heavy, shiny, and worth a lot of money. Once per scene, each player may earn a minor experience token by doing one of the following:
- Bantering about what you'll do with your share of the haul
- Recounting a rumor or legend about the treasure
- Being conspicuously on alert for traps or your companions' treachery
- Splitting the party, if only for a few moments
- Making or updating a map of your surroundings
Complete this quest, earning a major experience token for each player, when you:
- Emerge triumphant with the guarded loot
- Abandon the delve, deciding that no treasure is worth risking your lives this nearly
